Sunday Mornings at Trinity Church Kailua

At Trinity, we want you to feel welcome and ready for worship!

Join us at 10am for Sunday Worship!

Parking is available in front of the sanctuary and in our lower parking lot. At 9:30AM, fresh coffee is served and people are engaged in a time of fellowship before the service.
We are genuinely glad you found us and hope your first worship service with us is a blessing to you.

You are also able to livestream our service, every Sunday at 10am on YouTube!

What does the service look like?

Our service opens with a gathering song to bring everyone together for worship. This is followed by announcements, several songs, responsive readings, a scripture text, and then a sermon from our pastor.

Sunday Order of worship

Worship Begins at 10:00AM

Our service opens with a gathering song to bring everyone together for worship!

The Bible presents worship as a dialog and it is our hope for that to be a part of our service. Following the gathering song we will have announcements, a few more songs, a call to worship, a confession of our sins and reminder God's forgiveness of sins, followed by a time of prayer for those in the Church, our missionaries, or the community around us.

Children ages 4-7 are prayed for and dismissed for Discoveryland.

This is followed by a reading of our text and then hearing it delivered in a sermon.

We then celebrate the Lord's Supper or Communion.

We receive our tithes and offerings each week. Visitors, please do not feel obligated to give unless the Lord leads you to do so.

Finally, we are sent out with a benediction, the gracious embrace of our God to engage the world.

Post Service - A typical worship service is finished by 11:30am. We provide coffee and light refreshments in the foyer. Parents pick up their children from the Nursery. This is a great time to visit and meet new people.

Preaching at Trinity:
expositional and Gospel-driven

Expositional means that the text is examined and explained in its original context with the goal of application to our lives today. Applying the Bible to our lives is done through the grace of the Cross.

The heart is called upon to look again and again to Christ. No lasting change will come about apart from the heart. Biblical preaching is not presenting mere facts about the Bible. Responding to the preached Word must be rooted in the good news and resources God has provided. We seek to preach Christ and unfold how the text speaks to our need for God's grace in Christ.

We are Gospel-driven in the sense that in every aspect of our lives we seek to be aligned with how God has treated us in the Gospel.

What should I wear?

We hope you'll come and not feel self-conscious.  You'll see people somewhat dressed up for Sunday morning and you'll also see people dressed casually.  Our concern is that you feel you can enter into God's presence with a focus upon worship.

What about my kids?

Kids of all ages are always welcome! We offer nursery for children ages 0-3 during the service as well as Discoveryland for children ages 4-7.
